Emma & Lewis ~ A Wintery Wedding at the Fennes
I first met Emma & Lewis way back at The Essex Heart Wedding Show (which we know has now sadly finished – boohoo), and we briefly chatted about their wedding day amongst all the hubbub at the wedding fair.
The Fennes has been on my list of venues to photograph as from what I’d seen and heard, it was absolutely stunning – set in rural countryside, with beautiful grounds, pond and a marque-like area on the back of the house. It truly lived up to my imagination and more!!
I caught up with Emma and her girls inside on the morning of her wedding and enjoyed capturing the calm atmosphere as the girls prepped themselves ready for the day ahead. The boys were across town getting themselves finalised in the hotel with family & friends around them there, with my wonderful second shooter for the day, Sarah, capturing all the moments as they happened at that end!
The pair were married at the fabulous St Mary’s Church in Bocking – a beautiful church in the heart of the village set up on a slight hill so it really takes centre stage. They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest in a very personal and intimate ceremony reflecting Emma & Lewis as a couple before being chauffeured back to Fennes in the gorgeous red Cadillac to enjoy the rest of the day with everyone!
Being on the build up to Christmas, Fennes was so cosy and warm with roaring fires, and twinkly lights to enhance its already beautiful features. The rest of the day flew by, and before we knew it the evening guests were arriving and the DJ was preparing for the evening ahead. Emma & Lewis span around during their First Dance, and gradually everyone else joined them on the dancefloor to celebrate too!
My thanks to the newlyweds for allowing me to share a snippet of their special day with you <3 Wishing you both all the luck for an amazing future ahead of you!
